Painting was once an enigma to me, something impossible. I find many of my students feel the same way. I’ve found over the years you can only paint as well as you can draw. (Proportion. Proportion. Proportion) Drawing and painting are things that I’m still improving upon. In the years since I’ve started teaching I’ve seen a lot of improvement in my drawing abilities. Practice makes perfect.Conceptually my ideas are inspired but I’m still working to develop my own unique style. The following are pictures of acrylic paintings’ I’ve done in the past six years. Notice the different styles, they are barrowed, I’m still working on inventing my own.

Acrylic Painting on Wood

This is a mural I painted at a friend’s house done with acrylic paint. It’s hard to tell with the painted bricks in this pictures but this is actually indented area in the wall. You can tell if you look closely. I worked on this while on scaffolding. Thankfully I'm not afraid of heights but my friend was plenty afraid for me.
